WELCOME TO NAVY LEAGUE HONOLULU COUNCIL

The Navy League of the United States is a civilian organization dedicated to informing the American people and their government that the United States of America is a maritime nation and that its national defense and economic well being are dependent upon strong sea services – United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard and United States Merchant Marine.

An MH-60R Sea Hawk, assigned to the “Blue Hawks” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 78, flies over Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Izumo-class helicopter destroyer JS Kaga (DDH 184) as part of MALABAR 2021, Oct. 11, 2021. MALABAR 2021 is a maritime exercise designed to improve integration, address common maritime security priorities and concerns, enhance interoperability and communication, and strengthen enduring relationships between the Royal Australian Navy, Indian Navy, JMSDF, and U.S. maritime forces.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Aloha!

Our nation’s Sea Services have historic and enduring ties to Hawaii and the Pacific.  For many years, the Honolulu Navy League has served to connect the citizens of Hawaii to the men and women of the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and U.S. Merchant Marine.

As home to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, the U.S. Pacific Fleet, Marine Corps Forces Pacific, the 14th Coast Guard District, and significant U.S. merchant shipping, Honolulu plays a key role in projecting and supporting American Seapower.

Hawaii’s economy is highly reliant on maritime security and oceanic commerce, and after tourism, national security is the largest economic sector.  The presence of the Sea Services enhances the preparedness and resiliency of Hawaii in the event of external threats or a natural disaster.

The citizens of Hawaii benefit from the presence of the Sea Services, and the Honolulu Council plays a unique role in supporting the Sea Services and their families.

Please look at the calendar of events on this website and find something that interests you.  There are ample opportunities to engage, learn, communicate, educate, serve, volunteer and have fun!

We hope you will join our Council and become part of our important mission.

Sincerely,

Bill Kearns
